Open Staffs → Punch In/Out.
In Personal PIN mode, staff are punched in automatically when they sign in. In Shared PIN mode there's no per-person sign-in, so you add people with Add Employee. See Staff modes and PINs.
Reading the sheet
Each row shows Date, In, Out and Duration, with IN and OUT markers. The Punched In counter shows how many people are on the clock right now, regardless of the date range on screen. Three states flag a problem:
- Still punched in — the shift hasn't been closed off yet
- Missing OUT — someone went home without punching out
- Missing IN — a punch-out with no matching punch-in
Fix these before payroll. They don't resolve themselves.
Editing a record
Under Punch record actions, choose Edit or Delete. This needs the Manage Punch In and Out permission — without it, the actions are greyed out and the POS tells you the permission is needed.
Every change is kept in Record Modification Logs — so an edited timesheet still shows that it was edited, and by whom.
Setting the default range
The sheet opens on a 24-hour range. If your day doesn't run midnight to midnight, set Default Punch Range Time → Default Start/End Time to your actual service window. It's per device.
Printing
Print produces a punch report for the range on screen — set the range first, because the print covers exactly what the screen shows. It goes to your default receipt printer (Settings → Printer).
Fixing a punch from Back Office
Open Timesheets in Back Office and set the date range.
- Find the punch. Beside its In or Out time, open the small menu and choose Edit time.
- In the Edit punch in (or Edit punch out) window, change the Date and Time.
- Check the preview — The following shifts will be modified, with Before and After — then Save.
To remove a punch, choose Delete record from the same menu and confirm Delete this punch record? A shift that has been changed shows Edited, so a corrected timesheet still says it was corrected.
Export CSV downloads the report for the range on screen: a summary per staff member, then every punch in the range. Open it in a spreadsheet for payroll.
If the times look wrong
Punch times follow the tablet's own clock. If the tablet's time zone is wrong, every punch is off by the same amount — check the tablet's date and time before relying on the sheet for payroll.
If punches aren't appearing on another device
The screen shows its sync state — Synced, changes pending, Syncing, or Punch sync failed. A failure is almost always the internet connection; punches are kept locally and go up when it returns.
